Media Library Integration Comes to AI Studio

By Kenneth Villar··5 min read

HighLevel announced that AI Studio is now fully integrated with your Media Library, in an update from co-founder Shaun Clark. You can browse, reuse, and insert your existing media assets directly within chat, page editing, and publishing workflows, with no more downloading and re-uploading. The result is on-brand AI generation using the files you already manage, from the very first prompt.

What is new: native Media access everywhere

  • Media Library references in chat: attach existing images as visual guides so the AI matches your branding and style guidelines from the first prompt.
  • Inline asset link insertion: instantly drop Media Library URLs (images, documents, videos, or audio files) straight into a chat prompt for the AI to process and use in the build.
  • Instant visual image swapping: while fine-tuning a page in Visual Edits, select an image element and replace its source directly from your Media Library, with no complex prompting.
  • Branded publishing controls: set your favicon and social or OG preview images by picking them straight from your Media Library inside the Publish modal.
  • Flexible device uploads: if an asset is not in your library yet, you can still upload, paste, or drag-and-drop images directly from your device into the chat interface.

How to use the Media Library in AI Studio

  • In chat: click the + (attach) menu, select Media Library, then choose Add reference image or Insert link.
  • In Visual Edits: click any image element on the page canvas, then click the Media Library icon next to the Image URL field to swap it out.
  • In Publish: open your Publish settings and use the Media Library option in the favicon or social-image fields.

Why this matters: media that travels

HighLevel says builders wanted a way to stay completely on-brand without leaving AI Studio or creating duplicate files. Bringing the Media Library directly into the build environment is meant to guarantee visual consistency across pages while cutting the tedious download-and-reupload loop.

For agencies shipping client sites at volume, the portability point is the real win: media stays attached through template remixes and snapshots, so cloned locations come up branded instead of broken.
